With a history of value of fifty years, FAIB has been seen — since the ‘90s — as the go-to supplier for industries in the automotive sector who value quality, accuracy and reliability in sheet metal forming tools.
FAIB specializes in the production of sheet metal hot-forming and cold-forming dies, for the manufacture of the most complex BIW (Body In White) parts for cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, and other applications.
With our extensive range of equipment and the expertise of our team we can offer integrated, one-stop services, from the simulation to the tool design and manufacturing and up to the commissioning at the client’s premises.

Technical personnel account for 20% of FAIB’s staff. The engineers’ expertise is supported by a large HW and SW infrastructure, including 8 CATIA® workstations, 2 Autoform® and 4 WorkNC® suites.
machinery & equipment
60% of the equipment is less than five years old. FAIB machine tools reflect our company’s drive to offer up-to-date products and services. Our workshop is equipped with 13 CNC machining centres with up to five axes and working ranges up to 6,000×1,250×2,500 mm, and six press lines up to 1,600 t with beds measuring up to 5,000×2,500 mm, for die testing and try-out. This allows us to stamp pre-production runs of parts for prototyping, testing and safety checking, as well as small limited series productions.
laser cutting
Our laser cutting department has two machines for cutting flat blanks and for 3D cutting of the pressed parts, measuring up to 4,080×1,530×765 mm.
metrology room
Appointed to deliver quality testing that meets and exceeds the demands of car manufacturers, the metrology room features two DEA CMM-machines for checking tolerances, as well as a GOM Atos 3 Triple Scan machine for scanning and 3D rendering of volumes and dimensions, which is also used for reverse-engineering processes.
